A well-attended presentation of the 2014 research results and creation of the River Street Digital History Project was held at the Sesqui-Shop in Boise on December 8, 2014 at 6:30 PM. The presentation included a short PowerPoint slideshow followed by a question and answer session. A number of former River Street residents were in attendance who all posited a number of questions focused on how the project can best benefit current residents and help inform the community on the history of this special neighborhood.
Presentation attendees all made a number of interesting recommendations on how the neighborhood’s memory can best be commemorated that included the installation of historic information kiosks and street signage.
The recommendations made at this presentation demonstrate local interest in historic preservation in River Street and showed that a wealth of future projects could be done.
